STORY TIME

During the events of my life I have tried to retain many of the experiences I have had and have enjoyed retelling them in story fashion for my new and old friends. I will post some of these stories below and do my best at changing them around monthly or so. I may not be a great writer but it is fun.
I remember a day in 1st grade...I ,of course was talking and not paying attention...My teacher had sent me out in the hall already several times that week for the same thing...I was busted again..now what she didn't know was on one of my earlier 'Time outs'in the hallway the Principal had approched me...her name was...MISS McBRIDE..SHE SAID 'IF I SEE YOU OUT HERE AGAIN...I WILL TAKE YOU TO MY OFFICE ..AND PADDLE YOU!!!.' Well I nearly wet my pants at this and assured her I was a changed boy and would never, ever talk again...well now I was being sent to my death...NO matter how much I pleaded or promised I would be quiet...she wouldn't give in so out to the hall I went...it was surreal...The silence was killing me...I tried not to move in hopes of blending into the wall...you see I COULD SEE HER OFFICE FROM WHERE I STOOD...I knew this ment..SHE COULD SEE ME TOO..IF SHE LOOKED!!!!!! I was six...wanted my mom..my sister..my dad and grandmother...anybody would have done. I WAS ALONE..ON THE EDGE OF NOTHINGNESS...I WAS A GONNER!!!

Well as time dragged on and no Miss McBride in site, I began to feel a bit more confident that this was going to work out..I was OK ..I was alive...and I had been there long enough that I was very sure I would be called at any second...I mean ANY SECOND...LIKE NOW OK??? PLEASE!!! Then it happened...I heard THE FOOTSTEPS...I wanted to cry out...I wanted to shrink....she passed by me, across the hall..started to turn into her office....when she stopped...turned like a beast suddenly smelling it's prey...her eyes locked on mine...I was sure my life as I knew it was about to end...she said;' ..I thought I told you If I saw you out here one more time I was going to paddle you..' Might as well have pulled a gun on me because I closed my eyes waiting for her claws to wrap around my skinny little arm and drag me into ..what could very well have been the last place I would ever see...suddenly the door to my classroom opened and Sue reached out just a second ahead of her grasp and pulled me into the class and shut the door...I had been saved..or had I !!!? I returned to my seat expecting at any second to hear the door open up and my name called....I waited...pale and shaking....then ...nothing happened...no Miss McBride...no nothin I had been spared...I would live, yet another day..I would be able to save the plane crash victims...another one of my reoccurring day dreams. I would be able to go into 2nd grade after all.
