It's been a while now since the Harding HS Reunion in September 2003.
The 30th Reunion...
In certain ways amazing to see us all survive that long.
And sad that some have not survived.
Breezing through the pictures and memories give me a longing.
An ache to see those faces, hear those songs, smell those particular odors that permeated our souls.
We are closer now to retirement than our youth.
How will we remember these times?
What images, sounds and smells will we take with us in to our twilight years?
I am so very lucky to have a treasure trove of good memories.
A cornucopia of colors, musical notes and facial expressions that swirl around my head in the day dreams of youth.
I still play music in a band. I still go to see Todd Rundgren when he decides to head back to Ohio. I still play Frisbee.
I won't let those images fade. I won't let those friendships drift away.
They are the lifeblood.
Be in touch, my friend.
As long as those sounds and images are alive in our thoughts, well, they are alive.
As are we.
